Quite an assortment of characters this King has brought here, recently. One might think he wants us all to slaughter each other.

Rodolphus is behaving in the most baffling manner. First he apologized for kissing me, then told me that the King's palace was "much better suited" for me and since I was not living there someone should build me a house, and THEN implied that I should be evoking PITY from the TOWNSPEOPLE. Pity. It is rather like he is suffering from some sort of head injury. At any rate, though I have not yet determined the quality of my feelings towar I believe Rodolphus has made it clear that pursuing any sort of flightly romantic emotion - especially one that was most likely induced by lonlieness stress - would be foolish, considering how he is treating the event. In addition, Bellatrix has been shockingly polite to me since she arrived here, and continuing to entertain such ridiculous thoughts regarding her husband would be disrespectful.

I meant to tell you this quite a while ago, but after the custody letter debacle and Rodolphus Lestrange deciding to I had some things to think through I was going through some personal issues and it ended up slipping my mind entirely. Anyway, I thought you and your frien your famil those whom you associate with during your time might like to know that that lunatic Dark Lord character responsible for my son Regulus' death has been in this town for quite some time.
His name is Tom Riddle, and I believe he is currently staying at the palace with Rodolphus and Bellatrix. Rodolphus, Mr. Nott, Mr. Zabini, and I were overseeing his education until you told me about what happened to Regulus a few weeks prior. I know that Druella and Cygnus know of his future identity, as do his future supporters, I imagine. In addition, some boy gave him a poisonous snake for who knows what reason, and as he can speak to it, the thing appears to obey him quite ably. I am not sure whether or not he is using it as a weapon, or collecting its poison, but it would no doubt be quite simple for him to slip some adder poison into a person's food or drink, so watch what you, Morag, and Cassiopeia are consuming.
